Well the first tropical storm of the year dropped well over 6+ inches of rain during the day and overnight Friday June 7th 2013.

Woke up at 4:00 am to go out of South Amboy for some striped bass fishing. Arrived there around 5 am and loaded up my yak. Dropped in and trolled a tube and worm for about an hour until reaching the moored sailboats in Perth Amboy. Even though it was incoming tide the water from the Raritan River was pushing out hard into the bay. It was an easy 2.5 mph drift with the wind and the river current. I even gave the water a taste and it was fresh water. I finally gave at slack tide when the really muddy water came down the river. Nice day to get out fishing as always.

KFR_logoWas able to do a little fill in spot for Wednesday June 5th 2013. Mark “Landing Crew” Wheeler was actually @ work on the boat when his Low Sodium show was going on. So while they were at the gas dock i kept the show going while Mark had to work. Check it out!

I had the pleasure of representing Jackson Kayak at a one of the local dealers demo days. It was a good experience being a sales rep for a day explaining and Jackson’s Kayak Fishing Fleet. Armed with a Big Tuna, Coosa,  Cuda 12, and a Cuda 14 many people seemed interested in the boats. The kids really loved paddling and jumping around on the Coosa. The people whom were gearing up for kayak fishing were interested in the Cuda 14 for bay and ocean fishing. Couples were very interested in the Big Tuna.

I believe this was one of the hottest days in the summer. Once the breeze came it was a lot better. Next demo day i do i will brink a canopy and a chair and lunch!.

I wish I could have took more pictures but it was an incredibly busy day.  Looking forward to having another JK team member or sales rep there.
