Mullet Miller has invented the offspring between the best two carts for rolling heavy fishing kayaks over sand dirt and grass and created the Mullet Cart! The spawn of the C-Tug and The Wheeleez cart has just become the best overall kayak cart ever!

Out of all of the carts I have ever used this is by far the best over all. The C-Tug is a great invention in kayak carts one by how its saddles nest the hull and with its rubber grips make the cart non skid. Two the ability to disassemble the entire cart into 6 pieces is incredible being the cart can fit into most kayak hatches. The Wheeleez well its in the name. Easy to pull with the low PSI style balloon tires it floats over soft sand instead of digging in like higher psi tires or solid plastic rubber tires.  Combine the two and you have the best kayak cart known to any kayak angler.

This past weekend on a sandy beach I left my strap at home. Loaded the Jackson Big Rig on the MMC and pulled the yak over the sand with no problems strapless!! The Big Rig weighs 98 lbs with the seat and no gear. With the gear and the Torqeedo the total weight probably around 150 lbs. The Cart is easy to break down into 6 parts as its two pins for the Wheeleez tires and the standard C-Tug dis-assembly the cart can pretty much fit in any kayak hatch. The wheels can take a lot of weight but im not sure if it can take fully loaded Hobie Pro Angler weight. The Weeeleez website states payload capacity at 165 lbs. Not sure if that’s for their cart frame of for the wheels. Also stay away from sharp objects with these wheels like broken clam shells or glass.

Finally was able to remove the factory plastic wrap from the Big Rig today.

I must say this boat is impressive!  Its performance I bet will be excellent as a freshwater bass fishing yak also as a good boat for the rivers. This color pictured is Jackson new 2014 Green Hornet. It is a mixture of lime green slate and black colors.  The boat comes from the factory fishing ready with the leaning post installed. Two RAM Mount tube rod holders behind the seat and one RAM mount rod holder for the multiple Yak Attack track positions. The boat is also fit with the patented Jackson Kayak Elite Hi-Lo Seat along with an air adjustable lumber support.

The photo to the right shows the accessories included with the boat. Two Plano Tackle Boxes a JK long load flag a JK water bottle and the RAM Rod Holders as mentioned previously.

Like all Jackson Fishing kayaks storage is at its maximum. There are two lockable hatches which give full access to the inside of the hull. Along with the tackle box stagers alongside the seat webbing is installed to hold the boxes in stand up position.  The long trough on each side of the boat are rod stagers which are designed to protect your fishing rods during transport or low hanging branches or bridges on the water.

The leaning post folds down for transport or if your not going to be using it. The bungee on the front hatch attached to the front handle to hold the leaning post down while transporting. Rigging this boat is completely simple utalizing the track int he center and RAM Mounts electronics mount for Lowrance simply add a Yak Attack Screw Ball and your fish finder is mounted. For the transducer the front scupper on the big rig is widened to accept large transducers such as the Ray marine.

At the left side of the seat area molded in are threaded inserts for a zig zag cleat that requires no drilling and also tubed through to the rear for the anchor line. I am planning on using this setup for the Torqeedo Trim down line and using the existing Rudder trim line for the trim up position. I will elaborate on this within the Torqeedo install post.

The rudder system by Sealect Designs is Unique. I have not come across this system before. The rudder foil is pulled straight up and forward. It does not swing around line common rudder foil systems. To release just simply release the rope and it slides back and down into the water.

The circular void on the stern has multiple functions. It is designed around the Power Pole micro. Four 1/4 20 bolts pre molded in will install the Power Pole making the boat “Power Pole Micro Ready”  The void also acts as an anchor pulpit. Basically you may leave your anchor or drag chain in place and drop down from where the clam cleat is installed. When the anchor is in the up position it barely touches the water surface.

Received a new BB Angler Pro paddle for paddling the big rig. Also a new Aqua-Bound Spindrift Carbon paddle with adjustable telescoping ferrule. This paddle I am looking forward to being my main paddle this season. As I have always paddled the high angle style I am now looking for a more relaxed paddle. Hoping that I can still paddle hard against wind and tides.

As I un boxed the paddles they had a factory smell to them as that they were fabricated hours before they were shipped to me.

The Angler Pro paddle is the the Sea

boats and most of my gear. It also has the printed ruler on it for measuring your catch!

The shaft is carbon fiber and has a 3 position snap ferrule for a maximum feather angle of 60 degrees. The blade is fiberglass making it extremely light weight at 30 oz!

The Spindrift Carbon is an all carbon paddle with foam core making it the lightest paddle Aqua-bound produces at this point in time weighing in at 24 oz. It is a low angle style of paddle making it a more relaxed stroke.

The telescoping ferrule makes it an infinite feather angle. Also this unique ferrule will extend from 235 cm to 250 cm. It now has the ability to be adjusted per type of kayak to be paddled.
