Positive energy filled the Garden State Expo Center in Somerset New Jersey over the weekend of March 27th – 29th. The annual Jersey Paddler’s Paddlesport expo took place along with many familiar and new faces. The expo is a unique and the largest of its type on the east coast. It was great to meet up with the Jackson Kayak crew and represent a great company and the innovative kayak fishing line they have created.
It wasn’t but 4 years ago while meeting Drew Gregory at the Paddlesport Expo 2012 with full expectations that the onsite Jackson team interview would be a dream come true to in fact be accepted to a kayak fishing team with dreams and filled with fun and drive at the same time.
This was the second time at the paddlesport expo representing JK and the entire fishing team. Providing knowledge through seminars and general info on products kayaks and now electric motors. The first expo worked in 2013 with the team featured my personal Cuda 14. Fully rigged out. This year 2015 my Personal Big Rig was on display along with the installed Torqeedo motor!
It was great meeting so many new people and meeting up with current and past acquaintances!! Thanks everyone for stopping by the Jackson Kayak booth and showing interest in my personal Big Rig setup! Great to see sponsors and other pro staff teams!
If you missed my Yak Action Kayak Video and Camera mount seminar download it here.
Great to see you all and hope to see you out on the water soon!!
I will be at the Jersey Paddler Demo Day on Saturday June 6th. Come stop by and paddle some Jackson Kayaks!

The Panfish Portrait like its much bigger brother is the same concept besides being a fraction the size in height. The mount is best for low angle shots and hero shots with a lightweight and compact action camera. The RAM mount allows articulation and clamping in many different positions. Personally this mount is used in the front of the kayak. If you have a remote control for your action camera a GearTrac or a mighty mount can be added to the bow and the camera mounted here for extreme photos of you and your catch!

The best out of them all I have found for large connectors is the West Marine Wire Cap. Fish finder connectors with 1″ diameter will work with this cap to cover the required hole to pass through the wire for both the transducer and the power. You may run two wires at 14 gauge through this cap max and 1 wire at 8 gauge id say max.
